Angela assumed strategic leadership of the company in 2012 after 15 years of experience working in various commercial management positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Pfizer, and UCB Pharma. She returned to her family business to lead the company’s diversification from a leading supplier to government and academia into one which also supports the diverse R&D needs of the highly regulated bio-pharmaceutical space. As the daughter of the company’s founder, she is deeply committed to upholding the core values that have made the company the niche manufacturer it is today in the life sciences. Angela’s expertise is in business development, leadership, and change management. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and has completed Executive Business training at the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College and at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
Basile brings his engineering mindset and background as a military officer to the daily strategic and operational leadership for all sectors of the organization, including manufacturing, logistics, contract management, and all back-office operations.He provides overall strategic and operational leadership for all sectors of the organization, including P&L responsibility, day-to-day operations, and management of growing the organization with a mission of providing R&D materials to leading research organizations around the globe. Basile joined QBI in 2005 after more than 30 years in leadership and management at major fortune 100 companies.
Valerie received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Neurobiology from the University of Provence in Marseille, France. She has trained and developed expertise in R&D and product development. Valerie has a strong background in protein engineering, molecular biology, and cell culture encompassing all early stages of drug development from concept through preclinical evaluation and commercialization in biomedical applications. Valerie joined QBI to oversee all scientific functions including product development, QC operations, OEM and customer formulations evaluation and development, as well as Government contracts. She is responsible for delivering the product development pipeline to specifications and trends of the life science industry. Valerie is working across functional groups to develop products and competitive strategies to position QBI as a preferred CMO to the life science research community.
Jeanmarie brings 20+ years of management experience to QBI in Operations, Product Development, and Program Management in the Life Sciences and Biotechnology Diagnostic industries. She is a certified PMP and a Six Sigma Green Belt with a proven record of innovative thinking and effective and timely problem analysis and resolution. Jeanmarie leads our Quality Assurance team and drives our strategic efforts in the ongoing streamlining of our business operations.
Debra brings her strategic thinking, scientific training, and diverse background in the Life Sciences and Specialty Chemical industries to QBI’s Marketing and Communications role. She is a seasoned professional, bringing 20+ years of expertise from previously held technical, sales, marketing, and strategic business development roles. Debra provides QBI with marketing leadership in communicating our value and unwavering commitment to delivering the best quality products and services to help our clients achieve their goals.
